Limited edition model which was issued to commemorate the 50 years jubilee of the first leica from 1925. There have been limited edition models of the complete 1975 model line up (M4, M5, CL and SL2). The Leica M4 as commemorative model "50 Jahre" was made in black chrome finish and had been assembled in Wetzlar and in Canada. Regarding to common collectors literature there were build just 1.750 units of this limited edition version.
Every camera body has a special serial number combining a three digit number and a letter from the word Leica.
The one offered here comes from the second batch and has special number 122-E. It comes including original box and is in very good to mint condition!
