original lithography 36x26cm from Théodore Maurisset (1803-1860), France, published on the 8th December 1839 in the French newspaper "La Caricature", depicting the Daguerréotype and the early story of photography, its successes, failures, illusions and hopes, based on the events of the past year. Definitely a rare and important piece of history in beautiful well-preserved condition
