Product information "LEICA Noctilux 1.2/50mm built in 1967 with lens hood"
Leica Noctilux-M 1,2/50mm version II year 1967 with lens hood and UVa filter series VIII in a technically and optically good condition with normal cosmetic signs of use. Lens system slightly cloudy. Helical focusing works well, but not super smooth.
A legendary lens known for its outstanding speed and image quality.
The Noctilux lens was first introduced by Leica in 1966.
This one from 1967 is an early version of which only a few exist. Prized by photographers because it delivers exceptionally clear, high-contrast and sharp images even in low light.
Even with the aperture fully open, sharpness is maintained in the center of the image, while edge darkening and chromatic aberrations are reduced to a minimum.
