The fourth version of the Summicron-M 35mm f/2, often called the 'King of Bokeh', is celebrated for its 7-element design that creates a beautifully smooth transition from sharp focus to a soft background. Produced from 1979 to 1996. As the final pre-ASPH version, it represents one of the last of Leica’s classic spherical lens designs in this focal length.
This example is made in Canada and is in excellent condition following a recent service by Leica Germany where the mount was also 6 bit coded. Only small areas of paint loss can be seen on the aperture and focus ring. Includes hood, rear cap and leather pouch only
