The fourth version of the Summicron-M 35mm f/2, often called the 'King of Bokeh', is celebrated for its 7-element design that creates a beautifully smooth transition from sharp focus to a soft background. Produced from 1979 to 1996. As the final pre-ASPH version, it represents one of the last of Leica’s classic spherical lens designs in this focal length. This Canadian example is in wonderful condition with only minor paint loss around the barrel. Recently serviced and 6 bit coded by Leica Germany. The optics are in superb condition with only very minor internal dust which does not affect image quality. Includes rear cap, 12524 hood and 2 year warranty certificate only.
