The Leica Elmarit-M 1:2.8/28 mm Asph. is one of the most compact and lightest wide-angle lenses in the current M system. Despite its extremely small dimensions, this lens delivers outstanding image quality. Thanks to the use of an aspherical lens surface, aberrations such as distortion and edge blurring are almost completely corrected even at the open aperture of 2.8. The optical calculation consists of 8 lenses in 6 groups. It is characterised by very high contrast and enormous detail resolution across the entire field of view, making it a popular choice for street photography and travel photography.
