The Leica Photar is an extremely specialised lens for photomicrography. It belongs to the group of Photar lenses, which were specially developed for very large image scales. Intended use
This lens is not intended for normal photography at infinity. It is a pure macro lens designed for reproduction scales of around 10:1 to 30:1. It is used to photograph tiny details that go far beyond the range of normal macro lenses.
The lens usually has an RMS thread (microscope standard) or was used with an adapter for the Leica bellows R. As it does not have its own helical focuser, it is focussed exclusively via the extension of the bellows. Incl. 1 year guarantee and quiver.
