Customers who are consumers for the purposes of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (‘Konsumentenschutzgesetzes’, ‘KschG’) and who place an order in the Leica Webshop may withdraw from the contract within fourteen (14) days, without giving reasons (§ 11 of the Austrian Law on Long-Distance or Door-to-Door Transactions (‘Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz’, ‘FAGG’).

That 14-day withdrawal period begins when the consumer takes possession of the ordered model; or, for unified orders of multiple models that are delivered separately or in multiple partial deliveries, when the consumer takes possession of the last model or the last partial delivery.

That time limit will be extended by twelve (12) months if we have not met our obligation to inform. If we subsequently meet our obligation to inform within twelve (12) months from the beginning of the time limit, that time limit will end fourteen (14) days after the consumer receives the information.

The consumer exercises its right of withdrawal by sending a clearly worded declaration of its decision to withdraw from the contract (that must indicate its name, address, the purchase object, the order date, and the delivery date) by post to Leica Camera Classics GmbH, Westbahnstraße 40, 1070 Vienna, Austria, or by email to orders@leicashop.com. The consumer may (but is not obligated to) use the Sample Cancellation Form retrievable in the Webshop under www.leicashop.com.

The declaration of withdrawal is deemed on time if the consumer issues it within the 14-day period.

The withdrawal will rescind the contract. Within fourteen (14) days after the customer issues the declaration of withdrawal, the customer shall at its expense return to us any models it has already received.

The return will be deemed on time if the customer returns the model within that period.

If the model has lost value, the consumer shall pay for that loss only if it came about because the model was handled in a manner that was not necessary to inspect its quality, characteristics, and functionality.

If the consumer withdraws, we shall reimburse that consumer for all payments we have received from them, including shipping costs, within fourteen (14) days after receiving that consumer’s declaration of withdrawal. Unless otherwise agreed on a case-by-case basis, we shall use the same payment method that the consumer used in the original transaction. We shall not charge any additional fee for the refund.

We may refuse to provide reimbursement until the model is received or until the return shipment has been verified.

This information on the right of revocation, and the ‘Sample Cancellation Form’, are retrievable in the Webshop under www.leicashop.com.
