The Leica APO-SUMMICRON-SL 90 mm f/2 ASPH., in a black anodised finish and manufactured in 2022, is a fast telephoto prime lens for the Leica SL system with an L-mount. The classic 90 mm focal length offers a controlled sense of space and is ideal for portrait, stage, event and reportage photography.
The apochromatic design, comprising eleven elements in nine groups, minimises chromatic aberrations and ensures natural colour reproduction, high contrast and precise detail rendering. An aspherical lens corrects spherical aberrations, enabling the lens to deliver exceptionally high optical performance even at its maximum aperture of f/2.
The high light intensity allows the main subject to be clearly isolated against a softly blurred background. The fast, precise and quiet autofocus ensures reliable operation, whilst the minimum focusing distance of 0.6 metres opens up additional possibilities for close-up portraits and detailed shots.
