Supplied in its original box, brand new, with up to a 3-year international warranty.
The Leica 8x42 Geovid 3200.COM binoculars with rangefinder are the future of hunting; they improve accuracy over extremely long ranges and reduce the amount of kit you need to carry into the field.
Using Bluetooth connectivity harnesses the memory and processing power of your smartphone to utilise the information you provide about your rifle and ammunition, alongside sensor and range data from Geovid, to deliver a precise shooting solution.
Furthermore, it can incorporate data from a Kestral Elite wind gauge for greater accuracy, and the solutions and information can even be shared with your Apple Watch for added convenience.
The range-finding system integrates an inclinometer and a ballistic computer with a powerful IR laser to improve the accuracy of the first shot. Its inclinometer measures the relative angle between you and the target, then combines this with the linear range to provide an adjusted distance that allows you to better judge the holdover or hold-under.
The applied ballistic compensation system uses one of 12 pre-programmed ballistic curves based on common ammunition loads, combined with the adjusted range and environmental conditions, to further improve holdover/drop accuracy. You can also create custom curves on the Leica website and upload them to Geovid, further refining accuracy. The over/under holdover values can be displayed as the set range, the relative angle or in MOA/thousandths of an inch to allow for quick click adjustments on the scope’s turrets.
Optically, the Geovid utilises Leica’s Perger-Porro prism design, which combines the compact form factor of a roof prism with the large depth of field and limited number of internal reflective surfaces found in a traditional Porro prism. To further enhance image quality, the scope features P40 phase-correction prism coatings, an internal baffle system to suppress stray light, and the fully multi-coated HDC optical system, which maximises light transmission whilst improving colour fidelity and contrast. These optical features, combined with moderate magnification and larger objective lenses, result in optics with a wide exit pupil and generous eye relief that are comfortable and easy to use when out in the field all day long.
Leica employs an open-bridge/double-hinge design that makes the Geovid lighter and easier to handle without sacrificing strength or stability. The optics and electronics are protected by a magnesium alloy chassis that is lightweight and durable. The body is encased in a protective rubber armour that provides a non-slip grip. To withstand the rigours of the field, the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and sealed with O-rings, making them waterproof, submersible and resistant to internal fogging when used in extreme temperatures and environmental conditions.
