Product information "Leica IIIf Midland Ontario Outfit 10000"
Very rare IIIf outfit manufactured in Midland, Ontario Canada in 1953 engraved with "Ernst Leitz Canada Limited Midland Ontario". Consists of IIIf, Summarit 5cm f/1.5, Summicron 9cm f/2, all featuring with the Midland engravings. In excellent working order and very minimal signs of use, only small marks on the top plate. Both lenses have tiny amounts of internal haze and dust which does not affect image quality. A beautiful collectors set. In total, at the Canadian factory, approximately 5000 units of the Leica IIIf were produced, but only about 200 examples carry the Canadian engraving. Finding a complete set in this beautiful condition is extremely difficult.
