The Leica SUMMARIT‑M 90 mm f/2.5 in a black anodised finish is a compact short telephoto lens for the Leica M system. The classic 90 mm focal length allows for a natural sense of depth and a comfortable shooting distance. This makes the lens ideal for portrait, reportage, travel and close-up photography.
The optical design, comprising five elements in four groups, delivers excellent sharpness, clear contrast and natural image reproduction. The maximum aperture of f/2.5 offers sufficient flexibility even in low-light conditions and allows the main subject to be isolated effectively. The eleven-blade diaphragm ensures a pleasantly smooth and harmonious rendering of out-of-focus areas.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, high-quality metal mount and precise manual focusing, the SUMMARIT-M 90 mm f/2.5 fits perfectly into a lightweight Leica M setup. Its balanced combination of telephoto effect, light intensity and ease of handling makes it a versatile companion for analogue and digital Leica M cameras.
The original lens hood, which is normally sold separately, is already included with this lens. It reduces distracting stray light when light enters from the side and, at the same time, protects the front element during practical use. The lens has been inspected and service-certified by Leica Customer Care and comes with a 2-year warranty.
