The fourth version of the Summicron-M 35mm f/2, often called the 'King of Bokeh', is celebrated for its 7-element design that creates a beautifully smooth transition from sharp focus to a soft background. Produced from 1979 to 1996. As the final pre-ASPH version, it represents one of the last of Leica’s classic spherical lens designs in this focal length.
This example is the exceptionally rare Silver Chrome variant also made in Germany and from Brass. Only very few of these lenses were made and is now a rare and sought after item in the product portfolio. This lens has been recently serviced and 6 bit coded by Leica Germany and comes with a 2 year warranty certificate. Includes 12524 hood, rear cap and front cap.
