The Leica M11 black glossy combines the latest technology of the series model with classic design elements that already caused a sensation in 1962 with the special version of the Leica M3. The brass top cap and base plate are finished with a glossy black lacquer. Over the years, frequent use creates a unique patina. The exclusive design variant is also characterised by the Leica thread on the top cap, glossy black lacquered controls and the deliberate omission of the red Leica dot. A further stylish accent is provided by the shiny silver chrome-plated shutter release, which was installed on the Leica M3 for the first time in this version. With its elaborate cross knurling on the ISO and time setting dial, the special version of the M11 has a further refinement that differs visually and haptically from the standard model.
