The Leica M9 Monochrom, introduced in 2012, is a unique version of the M9 that features a full-frame 18 megapixel CCD sensor dedicated solely to black-and-white photography, eliminating the need for a colour filter array to deliver exceptional monochrome image quality with unmatched detail and tonal range. The CCD ID can give some information about the sensor. However, it is not a reliable way to confirm if the sensor has been replaced. The CCD ID can sometimes be manually updated without any actual changes to the sensor. For complete certainty, only official Leica Customer Care can confirm a sensor replacement.
With that being said, I'm happy to share that this particular Pre-Owned M9 had its sensor replaced by Leica Germany in 2015 so you can rest assured it has the newer sensor.
This example is in excellent condition with some signs of wear around the top plate and camera in general. Includes original box with battery and charger. Shutter count - 8977
