This rare Leica IIIc K was originally intended for the German Army but, according to Leica records, was ultimately delivered to the U.S. Army on 07.07.1945, just weeks after Germany’s surrender. The camera is in fine condition, featuring replaced shutter curtains and black vulcanite. It is accompanied by a matching Summitar 5cm f/2, no. 559458, which was delivered on the same day to the U.S. Army, completing a historically significant set.
