The Leica M2, introduced in 1958, is a 35mm rangefinder camera designed as a simpler, more affordable alternative to the M3, featuring a 0.72x viewfinder magnification, manual frame counter, and a wider-angle frameline set (35,50,90), making it popular among photojournalists and street photographers.
