The Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Summar 5 cm f/2 is a legendary, historic standard lens for the Leica M39 screw-mount system, which was manufactured between 1933 and 1940. As Leitz’s first fast standard lens with an aperture of f/2, it ushered in the era of the more compact but slower Elmar lenses and is now regarded as a milestone in the history of optics
The lens is in fully functional condition. The lenses are clear and free from mould, clouding, dirt and scratches. The aperture and focus rings also work perfectly.
