The APO-Summicron-M 90mm f/2 (11884), introduced in 1998, represents a major leap forward from its predecessor, the 11136, which was produced from 1980 to 1998. The 11884 features Leica’s APO (apochromatic) correction, dramatically reducing chromatic aberrations for unparalleled sharpness, colour fidelity, and micro-contrast across the entire image. This modern optical design also delivers improved clarity and a beautifully smooth, natural bokeh. Compared to the classic 11136, known for its warm rendering and characterful out of focus areas, the 11884 offers a more precision and colour neutrality, appealing to photographers seeking ultimate technical excellence in a medium telephoto lens.
This example is in near mint condition with almost no signs of use. Includes front and rear caps only. Leica Germany serviced this lens early this year.
