The Leica Summaron 35 mm f/2.8 with spectacles (manufactured from 1958 to 1974) is a legendary, extremely sharp wide-angle lens that was originally developed specifically for the Leica M3.
As the Leica M3’s viewfinder only displays a field of view for a 50 mm lens as standard, the optical viewfinder attachment (‘spectacles’) reduces the viewfinder image. This makes the entire frame of a 35 mm lens visible in the viewfinder and allows the rangefinder to be set precisely.
The lens is in fully functional condition. The elements are clear and free from mould, haze, dirt and scratches. The aperture and focus rings also operate flawlessly.
Furthermore, you receive a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty on our second-hand products.
The lens has been fully inspected by our specialist staff at the Leica Store Stuttgart.
