The Leica APO-SUMMICRON-M 75 mm f/2 ASPH., in its rare, limited-edition silver anodised version, is a fast short telephoto lens for the Leica M system, combining exceptional optical performance with a particularly exclusive design. Limited to just 300 units, this special edition differs from the standard black version in its elegant silver finish and its special, twist-out lens hood.
With its medium telephoto focal length, the lens is ideal for portrait, reportage, available-light and detail photography. The focal length allows for a natural distance from the subject whilst offering controlled isolation with a particularly smooth and harmonious bokeh.
The apochromatic correction, the aspherical element and the floating element design ensure exceptionally high sharpness, the finest detail rendering and precise colour reproduction even when shot wide open. Chromatic aberrations are effectively minimised, whilst the high micro-contrast performance creates a three-dimensional and natural image effect. The minimum focusing distance of 0.7 metres further expands the creative possibilities for portraits and close-ups.
Thanks to its rarity, high-quality metal construction and distinctive silver finish, this limited-edition variant is of particular interest to both discerning photographers and Leica collectors.
