In 2009, Leica Camera AG unveiled the highly exclusive Leica M7 Edition 'Hermès,' a limited-edition camera set created in collaboration with the renowned French fashion house Hermès. Following the 2003 'Leica MP Edition Hermès,' this release marked the second partnership between the two iconic brands. The Leica M7 Edition 'Hermès' features a silver chrome finish paired with Hermès calfskin leather in two distinctive colours, vibrant orange and elegant étoupe, with only 100 units of each produced. This set includes a silver anodised Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens with a matching vented lotus lens hood in silver anodised metal, a Leicavit M rapid winder in silver chrome, and a handcrafted leather strap made by Hermès artisans to complement the camera’s colour. The offered set, in near-pristine condition and perfect working order, includes a Leica M7 camera (serial number 3009640 193/200), a Summilux-M lens (serial number 4083290), and the original papers and accessories, making it a rare and coveted collector’s piece.
